What is Optical Image Stabilization[OIS] ?

  • OIS is an optical image stabilizer. When you take a photo in the camera, your hand moves a little which causes the photo taken by the camera not to come out properly. This problem can be solved by using OIS.
  • When you take a photo with your camera, your camera's shutter opens for 100ths of a second and your photo is taken. The photo is taken exactly. But when taking a photo in some mobiles, the shutter of the camera is closed for only 10 tenths of a second due to which the photo cannot be taken properly.
